Barbier Color

Terms

Last updated 27 August 2026

Barbier Color writes a starting point, not a prescription. You are the colorist. Every formula it gives you is subject to your own judgement, a strand test, and the manufacturer's instructions for the products you are actually holding.

Who this is for

Barbier Color is a professional tool for hair colorists. It assumes you already know how to colour hair and that you are qualified to make the decisions it helps you write down. It is not a consumer guide to colouring your own hair.

What the app does, and what it does not

The app calculates formulas from what you tell it: the level the hair is at, where your client wants to go, the history, and the brand you stock. Its engine is deterministic — it applies colour theory rules, it does not guess and it cannot invent chemistry.

It also cannot see the hair. It does not know that the last salon used something they did not disclose, that the ends are more porous than they look, or that the client's home water is loaded with minerals. The formula is a professional starting point and the responsibility for what goes on the head stays with you.

Where the app warns you to stop — henna, metallic salts, an incompatibility test — take the warning seriously. Where it stays quiet, that is not a guarantee of safety; it is the absence of a rule that applies.

Brand names

Barbier Color names real product lines, developers and shade codes so its formulas can be mixed. Those names and trademarks belong to their owners. Barbier Color is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by any manufacturer, and no manufacturer has reviewed what the app recommends. Always confirm against your brand's own chart and technical sheet.

Your records

What you enter is yours. It lives on your device — see Privacy — which also means we cannot recover it for you. There is no account, no server-side copy and no reset link. Keep device backups turned on.

The subscription

Calculating formulas is free. A subscription is what removes the limit on how many clients you can keep in your book.

  • Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
  • They renew automatically until you cancel, which you do in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account — not in the app.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policy. We cannot issue them.
  • Clients you already saved remain readable and repeatable if a subscription lapses. We do not hold your book hostage.

Acceptable use

Do not resell or redistribute the app's output as a product of your own, attempt to extract its engine, or use it to give colour advice to people who are not your clients as though it were a professional opinion you are qualified to give.

Liability

Barbier Color is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Linkr Tecnología is not liable for damage to hair, dissatisfied clients, lost income, or any other loss arising from a service you performed. You are the professional in the room, and no software changes that.

Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be limited by agreement.

Changes and ending

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything material is announced in the app. You can stop using Barbier Color at any time by deleting it. We may end access for use that breaks these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Barbier Color is a product of Linkr Tecnología.
